Last night Dead Money won an Edgar award from the Mystery Writers of America for Best Debut Mystery novel! My sincere thanks go to the judges, the MWA, the team at Bantam Ballantine Dell and Penguin Random House, and all my early readers and supporters!

In equally surreal news, I spent the Edgars gala sitting next to one of my writing idols, the inimitable Lee Child. He was incredibly gracious and (unsurprisingly) very charming.

When I sat down to write Dead Money, I had no idea if anyone would ever read it. I certainly never imagined the possibility of receiving an award as prestigious as the Edgar. It felt deeply humbling to be considered among a group of as talented as my fellow nominees, and to be joined last night by the many wonderful writers gathered at the gala. Thank to you everyone who has ever read my work.

More to come!
